This is a huge statistic if you really think about it. When you talk about the Facts About Anorexia, you should always think about the signs and symptoms. These will include the following: - The fear of becoming fat- Body dysmorphic syndrome- Withdrawal socially- An intense urge to be thin- Exercising way too much- Denial of any hunger- Avoiding situations that include food like parties- Forming habits and rituals that have to do with food and eating Someone with anorexia nervosa just doesn't see that they are thin enough or actually too thin. Instead they strive to become thinner and thinner, often as if they are simply trying to disappear. They will take in a certain number of calories, a self-imposed limited amount, and then exercise enough to cover those calories and then some. Facts About Anorexia should include things like the causes. Sometimes, if someone is diagnosed with anorexia, you will find that they also have a chemical imbalance in the brain. This can sometimes be treated with medication, but there will have to be therapy for the anorexia as well. Sometimes a traumatic event may have occurred in the person's past causing them to want to control their eating. In many cases, there is a genetic predisposition for anorexia. This usually occurs when you find an anorexic daughter of a really thin mother. The physical signs of anorexia should be mentioned when talking about the Facts About Anorexia. These include dry, flaky skin, and cracked and broken fingernails. Sometimes, the anorexia has depleted the body so badly that she will stop menstruating and hair starts to fall out. Finally, when it comes to Facts About Anorexia, you should know that a person who suffers from anorexia for a long time definitely stands the chance of dying of kidney, liver or heart failure. This is because the body has been robbed of the nutrients it needs for so long that these organs ultimately fail. Anorexia is so hard to treat, but the right treatment center can definitely help. Make sure if you know someone with anorexia you get them the treatment they need in order to help them recover and survive.
